TTE® Lunge Pen
Ergonomic exercise area for horses
One of the things that makes the TTE® lunge pen special is the creation of a slight concave depression. This depression adapts ideally to the special strain and stress conditions when lunging. What makes the TTE® round pen different is the natural springiness of the elastic wood layer, which is permeable to water. However, the elastic wood layer also stores the moisture in the wood chips, and continuously releases it to the footing layer.
A lunge pen that can be used in any weather and features natural elasticity for horses’ joints.

The shape of the depression compensates for the horse’s inclination, such that the stress forces on the musculoskeletal system are evenly distributed. For the first time, the elastic behaviour of the structure enables lunging that is easy on the joints.
- Concave shape for ergonomic lunging
- Elastic layer is easy on the joints
- Shock absorption protects underlying layer against wear
TTE® MultidrainPLUS
A solid solution
TTE® grid plates are linked horizontally and vertically with the aid of solid pins. It is NOT possible to break off individual elements. In addition, the 2:1 format and total weight of 27 kg/m² in combination with the intelligent connection system create a “snowshoe effect” with a high load capacity. This enables load distribution over a wide area, allowing lunge pens to be built easily and made level without a substructure.

The TTE® construction principle preserves the natural soil functions – such as filtration and drainage. The high inherent stability of the TTE® plates and the load-distributing connection principle allow a layer of wood chips with particularly elastic properties to be laid over them.
