TTE® - the sustainable alternative
against the waste problem and CO2 emissions

TTE® MultidrainPLUS
Since 1997, TTE® MultidrainPLUS has been made from 100 % used plastics from German households.

In 2021, we recycled around 10 million bags of plastic waste for TTE® and thus avoided 35,000 tonnes of CO2 compared to waste incineration. At the end of its life, the product cycle can be closed - new TTE® elements are then created from old ones.

Since September 2021, the TTE® system has had an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration). The EPD has been verified by the independent Institut Bauen und Umwelt (IBU) and maps all environmentally relevant emissions of the product cycle. The results of the life cycle assessment show: TTE® performs better than conventional concrete surface coverings.

Since September 2021, we have been offsetting all emissions generated in the production and delivery of TTE® MultidrainPLUS.

In order to compensate for the emission of CO2 equivalents (CO2e), we support certified climate protection projects in India and Brazil with our partner First Climate.

The snowshoe effect –
surface paving rethought

An innovative connection system combines the base course, paving and seepage system into a single system. The pressure- and deformation-resistant TTE® soil grids are frictionally locked to each other. This allows for load distribution over the entire surface – similar to the principle of a snowshoe. This demonstrably reduces the requirements for the load-bearing capacity of the underlying ground. As a result, the required thickness of the elements and the effort required for installation are significantly reduced.

Fixing gravel and crushed stone surfaces permanently and maintenance-free? TTE® GRAVEL makes it possible. Even on slopes and with heavy rainfall, the filling material is held in place.



The green city  – Sustainable urban development for better quality of life

The concept of the "sponge city" pursues the goal of creating living, urban structures for more urban greenery. These absorb rainwater and release this moisture during dry periods. This improves the urban climate – thanks to the cooling effect and the plants sequestering CO2 and trapping particulate matter. TTE® not only allows green spaces to be created, but also existing trees to be protected and integrated. Furthermore, this conserves resources and promotes biodiversity – both in and above the ground.
